All participants need to write out the entire script in Chinese characters. It needs to be turned in on the day of your performance.
Please practice your script well with your language partner to the point when you can perform WITHOUT READING the script. Have the script memorized as much as possible.

Topic: Celebrate the birthday!
With a partner, participate in a simulated conversation.
Greet each other to start the conversation.
Your friend is asking about the day of the week first. Then ask when the date is. Suddenly he or she realizes that his or her birthday is today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or next Tuesday.
Ask how old is he/she this year?
Wish him a happy birthday!
Suggest taking him or her out for something [For example, take her out for coffee or eat a certain ethnic food]
You suggest a time: [date], 好吗？
But your friend is tied up that day and suggests another day of week to meet.
You clarify which date it is or which day of week is it.
Then ask what time to meet.
Finally agree to meet at a certain date and time to meet.
End with singing a happy birthday song in Chinese to the birthday person!
