Why Authentic Materials Matter

I still remember when I first began learning English in junior high school. What sparked my interest was not the traditional textbook-based approach, but the fascinating content I discovered through the radio program Studio Classroom (空中英语教室), taught by the American educator Beng Menghui (彭蒙惠老师). Through those lessons, I was learning about a variety of interesting subjects while simultaneously improving my English. The experience showed me that language learning can be both educational and enjoyable.
